Designed to flow into place, self-consolidating or self-leveling concrete achieves exceptionally smooth finishes without vibration or special finishing techniques. It’s widely used for architectural, commercial and precast elements.
When it rains, it drains. Pervious or porous concrete has the unique ability to form a solid pavement that supports traffic, yet allows water to drain through it. Because the water flows through rather than runs off, pervious concrete offers natural infiltration and eliminates the need for a drainage systems, storm sewers or retention ponds.
Lightweight concrete is ideal for applications where weight is an issue, such as floor toppings, multi-story buildings, rooftop construction and precast sections. Expanded polystyrene replaces normal aggregate to reduce weight. Lightweight concrete also enhances the fire-resistance and insulation qualities of concrete.
Also called controlled low-strength material, flowable fill is an alternative to soil or gravel for backfill, pipe bedding and road or floor bases. As the name implies, it flows into place and needs no compaction. Because it contains cement, it’s less prone to subsidence than traditional fill and is stronger and less permeable. Strength is low enough that it can be excavated.
With a system called Insulating Concrete Forms, or ICFs, workers pump concrete between two layers of rigid foam to create a strong, highly insulated and soundproof wall. Conventional finishes complete interior and exterior surfaces.
Sprayed concrete is concrete or mortar conveyed through a hose and pneumatically projected at high velocity onto a surface.
Concrete with a compressive strength greater than 6,000 psi.
Low permeability improves the concretes resistance to freezing and thawing, and chemical attack.
Superior Concrete is now offering crushed concrete for sale. This material has been crushed to 2-3 inches with smaller sizes mixed in to allow great compaction. Our crushed concrete has no foreign material such as rebar, glass, brick etc. The use of this recycled material is helping our environment by keeping it out of landfills as well as saving our customers money for fill material.
Ideal uses for Crushed Concrete include:
~ Basement Sub Base ~ Garage Sub Base ~ Driveway Sub Base ~ Fill
